Get Paid To Search And Search And Win

Over the last few years there has been a slew of search and win sites and get paid to search sites. The idea behind them is that you get paid or win prizes by using the search facilities on their sites.

Now you are not going to get rich using these sites but it is a free way to start earning a little pocket money. I have researched a number of these types of sites and have rejected many because they have too many restrictions, you have to perform too many searches for too few rewards. I have narrowed the list down to two sites which return a reasonable amount of cash or prizes for the amount of time you have to search.

Cash or prizes

There are essentially two types of sites so I have chosen the best from each group. The first type of site is a get paid to search site, this means that when you search the internet you get points which can then be converted to prizes. The second type of site is a search to win site, it work pretty much the same as the other sites except that rather than getting points for every search you do you win points on some of your searches.

The review

First up is searchwiki, this is a get paid to search site. This essentially means that when you do a search from their site you get a point, you also get a point if you vote for a site and if you leave a comment about a site.

Once you have accumulated enough points you can redeem them for prizes such as mp3 players such as the iPod. You can also exchange them for iTunes gift cards. Games consoles and Visa debit gift cards. The gift card are in dollars so if you are not from the U.S. you will have to spend them online.

Out of all the current get paid to search sites this seems to be the best. It is a well established and professionally designed site that has had some good reviews. One point on their site equates to about 1 cent. Not a great amount but you are not going to earn a living from searching. The range of prizes is not great but the Visa gift cards can be used much like cash.

Second is the search to win site Swagbucks, for every search you do you have a chance to win points. These points can then be exchanged for prizes of which there is a very good range. One of the prize options is Paypal cash which is as good as cash online as you can transfer the money from your Paypal account into your bank account. One point or Swagbucks as they call them equates to about 7 U.S. cents.

Whilst you can earn more per search with Swagbucks you are not guaranteed to win a point with every search. Where as with searchwiki you get points for every search but the points are not as valuable as Swagbuck points.

After reviewing and testing half a dozen paid to search and search to win sites overall searchwiki and Swagbucks come out on top. Even though these are free to participate in they should only be considered as a bit of fun, which they are, and only a means to earn a bit of extra pocket money. After all it is easy to do and does not cost anything. Although there are cases of people winning thousands of dollars worth of prizes these are in the minority.
