The first one I will mention is where they offer to sell you a list of companies that are looking for home internet typists. In general be wary of what you are paying for, whilst some of the companies on the list may well be looking workers many of these lists are outdated and not worth the money.

The second type of scam is the pyramid scam. This is where you pay a fee to join and earn money by encouraging others to join. These schemes are illegal in most countries and people who join rarely make any money.

Legitimate work from home typing jobs

There are many ways you can earn money using your typing skills on the internet that allow you to work at home putting in the hours around your family. Whilst most of this type of work is typing there will be instances where a little non-typing work is involved, an example of this is being a mystery shopper. You could try sites where you get paid to click or even get paid to search.

One of the things you can do is contact local offices, business's and medical establishments in your area offering your services. You will find that many have typing work they cannot manage due to themselves being busy. Explain to them your typing level, accuracy and reliability. Whilst this may not give you all the work you need it's a start.
